Editorial only. Not regulated lending advice.
kafinance.xyz is an educational reference. The car-loan calculator is a methodology tool, not a substitute for engaged regulated counselling on your specific transaction.
§1.No financial, lending, or legal advice
The calculations on this site are illustrative consumer-credit math, not personalised lending recommendations. Nothing on kafinance.xyz constitutes financial advice, mortgage- or auto-loan-brokerage services, or legal advice within the meaning of the Truth in Lending Act, the SEC Investment Advisers Act, the Dodd-Frank Act, the CFPB’s consumer-credit rules, or comparable foreign regimes. For specific lending decisions, consult an MAS-equivalent licensed loan officer at your credit union or bank, or an NFCC-member non-profit credit counselor.
§2.State-specific rules vary
Sales tax treatment of motor vehicles varies materially across US states. Some states tax full vehicle price; others tax (price − trade-in). Some states impose additional fees (title, registration, lemon-law fees). Some states cap doc fees by statute; others do not. The calculator applies the trade-in tax-deduction convention (the dominant US approach) but does not capture every state’s specific rules. Verify against your state DMV / department of revenue before relying on the figures for a specific transaction.
§3.Limitations of the model
The calculator assumes a fixed APR over the entire loan term. Real auto loans have fixed APRs in nearly all cases (variable-rate auto loans exist but are uncommon). The calculator does not model gap insurance premiums, extended-warranty financing, or other “back-end” F&I products that may be added to the loan in the dealership. The figures are pre-F&I-add-on; the actual financed amount is typically higher if you accept any of the F&I offerings. The dealer F&I page covers the offerings and what they cost.
§4.No guarantee of accuracy
Although the calculator has been reviewed by an AFCPE-credentialed Accredited Financial Counselor and tested against worked examples in the AFCPE auto-finance materials, software contains bugs and editorial content contains errors. If you spot a discrepancy, write to the editorial desk via the contact page; calculation discrepancies are prioritised and resolved within five business days where reproducible.
§5.Third-party content
Where we reference AFCPE, NAF, NFCC, the CFPB, Kelley Blue Book, Edmunds, or other third parties, those references are for informational purposes; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them unless explicitly stated. Outbound links to third-party websites are provided as a convenience; kafinance.xyz is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.
§6.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the editorial team and reviewer expressly disclaim liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of, or inability to use, kafinance.xyz, including but not limited to financial losses, signed loan-document obligations, or transaction decisions made in reliance on calculator output.
§7.Jurisdiction
This disclaimer is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA. Disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Wayne County, Michigan, save where mandatory consumer-protection law of your habitual residence requires otherwise.
